Annual Spring Gallery Walk and Panel Discussion
Saturday, April 16, 2011

The annual Spring Gallery Walk was Saturday, April 16, 2–8 p.m. and featured over 35 of DADA’s member galleries, museums, and nonprofit art spaces. This FREE event allowed art lovers to socialize and roam (in a car) from gallery to gallery all in one day. A new part of the Spring Gallery Walk was the implementation of DADA’s Docents. Ten of DADA’s galleries hosted high school docents who helped educate the public about the galleries’ art.

As is customary, DADA offered educational opportunities via its panel discussions for artists and art lovers on the morning of Spring Gallery Walk. Panel 1 was entitled The Intersection of Fashion and Art.Panelists were Megan McQuery, Julie Michel, Jason Sheeler, and Darian Thomas. Moderator was Heidi Dillon. Panel 2 was entitled Selling Your Art—Galleries and Beyond. Panelists were Katrina Doran, Talley Dunn, Jacob Naasz, and Pamela Nelson. Moderator was Brian Gibb.
